IN NEW SHIP BUILDING; REVIEW OF PRODUCTION STAGES

Different requirements and demands in maritime transport have led to the construction of different types and sizes of ships. In the world, there are shipyards with various capacities and abilities, from a shipyard with narrow facilities to build a simple ship, to shipyards with technological facilities that can build modern warships. The effects of economic and technological developments on the different ship types and sizes are very important. It is imperative that the infrastructure services that will allow the future technological developments of the shipyards are known and designed in advance, and that the shipyard can build any type of ship and sea structure within the pre-determined capacity limits. If all processes that need to be fulfilled before, during and after the production function effectively, the risks that may occur are minimized. Countries applying a policy of developing shipbuilding industries tend to build liquid and dry bulk cargo ships that are very simple in the beginning and relatively easier to mass produce, require a systematic work discipline and do not require advanced technology. For this purpose; They establish shipyards that do not have advanced technical facilities and can carry out steel construction. As a result of the experience and knowledge gained in this way, they are going to establish and develop more advanced shipyards and increase the technical possibilities of existing shipyards.
