PRODUCTION OF POLYVINYL CHLORIDE (PVC) CLING FILM FOR AUTOMATIC FOOD PACKAGING MACHINES
 
PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) cling film; Due to its high flexibility, good adhesion to different surfaces, long shelf life, glossy appearance, excellent presentation and food protection in terms of air permeability with superior performance, it attracts great attention in the food packaging industry. There are generally two types of production mechanisms in the production of Cast PVC cling film: hand-held and automatic packaging. Technical differences between these methods also cause differentiation between product features. Method selection and cling film properties can be controlled in line with user needs. Slippery, easy to open, electrical static properties, user's production speed factors determine the production performance. These physical properties of PVC cling film are suitable for use in automatic packaging machines for fruit, vegetable, seafood, mushroom, meat and poultry processing. Within the scope of this study, the definition, technical properties, production, comparison of properties with other types of PVC cling films and usage advantages of cast type PVC cling film for automatic packaging are discussed in detail. Although the hand type has very good adhesion strength and electrical static charges, the machine film has more slippery and less sticky properties. If the cast type pvc cling film is to be used in an automatic packaging machine, it is recommended to choose an easy-to-open film. For this reason, the films produced should have sufficient lubricity and low electrical static
