KEFIR AS ALTERNATIVE CHOICE IN MANY HEALTH DISORDERS
 
Kefir is a traditional natural acidic fermented probiotic milk that originated thousands of years ago in the Caucasus Mountains, made from kefir grains or starter culture incubated with heat-treated milk under aerobic conditions. In recent years, studies have shown wide potential effect of kefir on health benefits, including physiological, prophylactic and therapeutic properties. Some people prefer healthy diet to protect their health for lifelong. In this regard, kefir is one of the best choices as it is a powerful probiotic source. Moreover, many researchers have introduced many health beneficial properties of kefir such as antiobesity, anti-hepatic steatosis, antioxidative, antiallergenic, antitumor, anti-inflammatory, cholesterol-lowering, constipation-alleviating, and antimicrobial properties.
