NATURE'S LEAKING TO THE CITY, BIOPHILIC DESIGN PROPOSAL THROUGH THE CONTINUITY OF NATURE

In the current biophilic design models, nature designs and analogies are becoming ever increasingwidespread in the interior. It is seen that in massive massed constructions, mass is cracked and metaphors of a nature leaking from the cracks are created. These designs, which regard as nature asi if it’s an object and a tool, instrumentalize nature and objectfy it instead of emphasizing the value of nature. Instead of this problematic approach, the study proposes the leaking of nature into spaces. The continuous immanation of nature into spaces is considered as an exemplary model in the context of biophilia. The scope of the study deals with the model in interior and urban space in order to propose structural formations for the infiltration of nature into urban and to suggest spaces for nature to leak into spaces. The aim of the study is to present a model that provides indoor-outdoor integrity in the context of biophilia, including an integrity with living things. It is thought that the model support formation of urban ecological corridors, continuity of healing environments and life as a whole with nature. The subject is examined in the dialectic of living-space-nature, and architectural design proposals are presented for their interaction with each other with an objective ontological approach (Object Oriented Ontology). With the proposed model, it is predicted that the biophilia levels of people and living things increase, and healthier environments in biological, physiological and ecological contexts are created.
