TURNED MANUFACTURING STEEL PARTS EFFECT OF PROCESSÝNG TIME ON SURFACE IMPROVEMENT IN VIBRATING MACHINE

Today, manufacturing steels are used at a high rate. These steels contribute greatly to the machine elements produced by machining methods. Different processes are performed to improve the surface characteristics of the parts produced by machining. Surface Treatment in Circular Vibratory Vibration Machine is one of the most common of these processes. In this study, after the turning operation of the Ck45 steel material, the surface of the parts which were turned by using a vibration machine was studied. In turning operation, two different cutting speeds, two different feeds and two different tooltip radius were used. During the turning tests, float cooling method used as coolant and lubricant. Thus, turning tests have been carried out in similar parameters and conditions to the machined parts in industry .After machining, the surface roughness of the parts was measured and the parts were subjected to surface treatment in the vibration machine. Fixed frequency and liquid mixing ratios were used in the vibration machine. The effect of the processing time on the surface roughness of the parts was investigated by keeping the parts in this machine for different times. During this research, the parts were taken from the vibration machine at 1 hour intervals and a total of 6 parts were processed for each cutting pattern. Thus, the effect of the time in vibration machine was observed between 1 hour and 6 hours. The surface roughness of the parts held in the vibration machine at different times was measured separately. The measured surface roughness values of the parts held in the vibration machine at different times were determined by using the Minitab program and the effect of the factors and their interactions on the result by the Two-Way ANOVA method. In addition, the factors that best improve the surface roughness value were determined.
