SUSTAINING WELL-BEING AT WORK: BIOPHILIC DESIGN APPROACHES IN TURKISH AND GLOBAL WORKPLACES
 
This paper examines the importance of biophilic design in the creation of ideal working environments that foster creativity and well-being, and it does so via the perspective of creating ideal workspaces. The study highlights the need for an ideal office environment for employees to achieve their highest potential and the advantages of adding natural features into the design of workplaces. It also emphasizes the importance of an ideal workplace environment for employees to achieve their greatest potential. It has been discovered that lowering stress levels in a workplace can have a beneficial effect on employee performance as well as the overall success of a company. This effect is achieved through the utilization of biophilic design. The purpose of the study is to get an understanding of the notion of biophilia as well as the principles behind the biophilic design, with a particular emphasis on the 14 patterns outlined by Terrapin Bright Green. The method of doing a literature review is utilized to investigate instances of biophilic design in the workplace that have been effectively applied in Turkey and elsewhere throughout the world. The findings emphasize the importance of bringing biophilic design components into the workplace to lower stress levels, encourage employee wellness, and boost overall productivity.
